Porque eu não consigo enchergar os comentários em azul-escuro quase preto num fundo preto!!!
Qual será o arquivo de configuração dele?

eu usava o cl8 e o vi modo texto mostrava comentários e funções em cores diferentes, mudei para o slakware 8.1 e o vi modo texto esta tudo na mesma cor. porém não tenho mais o cl8 instalado para verificar as configurações

mas quer coisa melhor instala o pacote vim-X11 ,vim-enhanced,vim-syntax
que deve resolver o seu problema...tipo depois é só usar no X .
tem sintaxe pra todo tipo de linguagem de A-Z até GNU Server Pages tem:-)

copie para o seu $HOME o arquivo .vimrc que vem como exemplo. Ele irá ler dúzias de configurações para você e habilitar o "syntax highlighting". Use o seguinte comando:
# cp /usr/doc/vim*/doc/vimrc_example.vim ~/.vimrc

Vê se dá certo, eu nunca tentei pq curto branco e preto mesmo..

Drusian, copiei meu /usr/share/doc/vim-common-6.0/gvimrc_example.vim para o arquivo ~/.vimrc (que não existia até então) mas não percebi nenhuma diferença... acho que com o mandrake é diferente, mas mesmo assim valeu!

o pacote que mexe com as cores do vi é vim-syntax!
no rh 7.3, isso jah eh automatico, tente dar um man vi para o que fala lah!

Postei logo o meu arquivo inteiro e vou dar uma fuçada.... mas vou fazer a pergunta de novo, pois acho que vocês não entenderam:
Quando uso o vi para editar um arquivo, os comentários do mesmo aparecem com uma cor azul-escura, e fica horrível para enchergar o que está escrito pois o fundo é preto..... tenho que mduar o fundo para enchergar alguma coisa, mas prefiro mudar a cor dos comentários, entenderam?
Default, eu jah tinha lido seu tuto, mas não se aplica ao meu caso pois ele já está colorido, mas de muito mal- gosto, hehehehehe....
Se alguém tiver mais alguma sugestão, fico agradecido!
