Atualização de Firmware do CD Rom

Estou atualizando o firmware do meu cd rom LG, e no site do fabricante, tem estas instrucoes:
Place: A blank floppy diskette in your 3.5” disk drive A: Double-Click: My Computer Icon on your desktop
Right-Click: The drive letter that is the 3.5” drive.
Choose : Format.
Choose: Copy System Files Only, Click OK.
Let: The PC Make the disk bootable.
Copy: The CRD8521Bfirm103.EXE file to the floppy boot disk you just created.
Type: CRD8521Bfirm103.exe to extract the files and allow files to be overwritten if you get a message to asking if you want to overwrite the files.
Re-Boot up your PC with the bootdisk in Drive A: (Note: you may need to change Your boot sequence in the CMOS Setup in order to boot to drive A:. Please see your motherboard instructions or contact your PC manufacture for instructions on changing the boot sequence.)
The driver should load and the system should recognize your CD-ROM drive.
At the A:> prompt type XLGV6.EXE 52LGF57A.HEX then press enter
The computer will display a screen indicating the firmware process has begun.
DO NOT INTERFERE WITH THE DRIVE DURING THIS PROCESS.
When the UPGRADE is complete the screen should indicate ROM version 1.03.after firmware.
