Problema com Som Mandriva One 2008

Olá pessoal baixei o CD Mandriva One 2008 e instalei no meu PC, no entanto ele não reconhece o som on-board da minha placa mãe, como eu instalo manualmente o driver?

Meu PC é o da assinatura abaixo...

O Beryl vai rodar legal na minha máquina ou vai pesar mt?

Outra coisa tem como instalar o Gnome atravez de algum repositorio? Qual repositorio devo usar pra instalar o Gnome?

Usa o Compiz que já vem no próprio Mandriva, ele roda legal nessa máquina.

Quanto ao Mandriva com o Gnome tem nesse ftp aqui ele com o Gnome já default.

MegaTherion pelo lspci postado por você não tem nenhuma indicação de placa de audio alguma

, pelo menos não consegui identifica-la!!!

Mas pelo que notei e por você ter dito ser on-board, ela é uma nForce correto? Você tem certeza de que está tudo certo com ela? Se for tente procura-la no site da nvidia se não achar tente com esse aqui de ultimo caso até porque não sei qual a série da sua nForce: http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_nforce_1.0-0310.html

Depois é só seguir esse tuturial: Driver pra placas com chipset nForce

Sim esta td bem com a placa... ou melhor com o som on-board, tenho dual boot com o WinVista e o som funciona perfeito... só no linux q ele não reconhece... o chipset eh um Nforce sim, 5 se não me engano, ou un NF 4 "disfarçado"... no CD de driver da placa mãe vem um driver pro Linux, mas num consigo instalar...

Tá... vou tentar, acaso é um arquivo grande +200MB? Pq se for eu acho q ja baixei, mais ainda num tentei instalar o driver...

Desculpe... mas sou bem noob em Linux... e faiz mais de um ano q não mexo no sistema... eu usava o mandriva 2006 na minha maquina antiga, uma K8V-X, 256RAM, A64 e FX 5200 e num tinha problema... ele reconhecia tudo, so tinha q instalar manuamente o drive da vga... mas era facil, era só dar o comando: ./nome_dodriver em modo "texto puro" como root e instalava de boa...

Agora no 2008 ele reconheceu de boa minha GF 8600GTS mas to apanhando pro som...

Não foi... agora ele encontra o tal Kernel Soucer, mas não consegue compilar ou algo assim:

Veja no arquivo nvidia-nforce-installer.log pra ver se num da alguma pista do problema, qualquer coisa poste ele aqui.

Para os 2. Tentem instalar esses pacotes antes:
# urpmi automake1.7 make makedepend makedev gcc gcc-c++ gcc-cpp libgcc binutils-devel glibc-devel glibc-utils

Depois tente instalar novamente o drive. Se instalar tudo certo talvez tenha que fazer alguma alterações para ativa-lo -> Driver para placas com chipset nForce

No caso do jcesar_dasilva instale esse drive->Linux nForce Driver - IA32
A diferença entre a versão desse e o do MegaTherion é de apenas 0.0-0001

. Depois ative-o com o mesmo passo citado acima

Quanto ao suporte aos Phenon eu sei q a M2N SLI suporta de boa, eu vi no proprio site da ASUS, mas na M2N-E SLi não tem nenhuma indicação...

Mas de boa, não vou gastar dinheiro com o Phenon tão já mesmo...

Tenta instalar o alsa e configurar por ele o audio...

Criei uma script que baixa e instalar o alsa-1.0.16 com tudo que tem direito, tirada do www.alsa-project.org .

Baixe o anexo, salve na pasta do usuário e siga os passos pelo terminal.

$ cd alsa
$ chmod +x ./alsa-installer

1ª opção* Caso não tenha configurado o sudo... use:
$ ./alsa-installer
Depois que acabar:

Obs.: Qualquer problema avise. Se quiser dar uma olhada no processo, os comandos, etc é só abrir com editor de textos.

E com o outro deu o que?
Esse ai eu já acreditava que não daria certo... nesse o sudo devia estar ativo pro usuário o que não vem por default no mandriva.

Obs.: No outro pra não ter que baixar tudo denovo comente(colocando # no inicio da linha) as linhas que tem "wget" no inicio.

comigo tambem. ainda assim obrigado pela ajuda.
alias, uma coisa que eu achei estranho.
no kurumin 7 nao reconheceu nada de audio. no mandriva logo com o driver padrao ele digamos que reconheceu o audio, mas nao dá potencia no som.
mas em nenhum dos dois consegui instalar o driver.

No kubuntu sem o build-essential eu não compilo nada e no mandriva one isso já vem instalado???

Tá, eu baixei esse tal de binutils pelos repositorios, só q dai mais pra frente de um erro relacionado ao kernel soucer, algo assim... Pq se for eu acho q ja baixei, mais ainda num tentei instalar o driver... Desculpe... mas sou bem noob em Linux... e faiz mais de um ano q não mexo no sistema... eu usava o mandriva 2006 na minha maquina antiga, uma K8V-X, 256RAM, A64 e FX 5200 e num tinha problema... ele reconhecia tudo, so tinha q instalar manuamente o drive da vga... mas era facil, era só dar o comando: ./nome_dodriver em modo "texto puro" como root e instalava de boa... Agora no 2008 ele reconheceu de boa minha GF 8600GTS mas to apanhando pro som... EDIT: Não foi... agora ele encontra o tal Kernel Soucer, mas não consegue compilar ou algo assim: Código: ERROR: The NVIDIA kernel module was not created.
